Now, don’t for one moment think I’m likening my Followers to dogs. But at the time of writing, there are 101 of you and that brings to mind 101 of another species. And I figured we could perhaps use some light relief in the run up to Christmas as I say a very sincere thank you for taking the trouble to stop by.

And when you’re done dressing yourself, bizarrely, there is a company called Dress My Goose where you can buy seasonal outfits for your garden bird ornaments. Please, please, tell me if you have first-hand experience of this and I do promise not to laugh. It’s quite sweet really:

I’m aware it’s not particularly customary in blogland to celebrate 100 followers by posting pictures of spotty dogs. When all this seasonal craziness is over, I’ll see if I can come up with something a bit more enticing for you.

To celebrate with you, I will use that leftover white spray paint that I have and turn Murphy into a Dalmatian. Hey, I have had crazier ideas….

Awww this was the greatest post. I had a Dalmatian. He died of old age a few years ago. They are the most wonderful, happy, exuberant dogs. And beautiful.

As to dressing concrete geese, this has been a custom for 15 years in one of my former hometowns in Indiana. Inexplicable.

My first dog was a Dalmatian. He was so very dear to me. I loved all of these ideas, but had to laugh when I got to the fashion site for garden geese. OK, I laughed very hard. How, pray tell, did you discover this site?

Hi Struggling, I'm new to your site, over from Style Artisan. I love your blog! Gotta keep some humour in your life … you've got a great sense of it. Checked out some of your old posts … animal prints was one of my favs. I actually bought a wickedly cool pair of leopard pants from Addition Elle … walked in and saw them on the manniquin and though "I absolutely HAVE to have those". I would have walked right by them on the hanger. And of course crocodile and reptile footwear … I have a serious shoe fetish.
