Bottles, cans, plastic milk containers, paper-including newspaper, magazines and junk mail all belong in the recycling bin, not the trash. From my observations, many people don't realize that cardboard boxes, pizza boxes, egg cartons, and even cereal boxes can also be recycled. You may have to take some items to designated recycling bins at a local dump or public works department. Comment on House of Fabulous by Tanja @ Postmodern Hostess http://englishorganizer.com/2011/04/house-of-fabulous/#comment-5793 Tanja @ Postmodern Hostess Fri, 29 Jul 2011 20:36:47 +0000 http://englishorganizer.com/?p=2100#comment-5793 I wanted to wait until I had a little time to sit down and savor House of Fifty before I responded, and it is truly a wonderful achievement. I have so much respect for Janell and others who take something that starts out as just an idea and bring it to life, not just as a blog (which, let's face it, is not that hard to pull together), but as a fully fleshed out, gorgeous collaboration that can inspire countless others. Hats off. I also found several really great tips in your command center article! The family binder idea could be really helpful for us, especially as we start our new co-located life. We won't have easy access to the info pertinent to our condo in LA when we're at our house in Truckee, and vice versa... UNLESS we make ourselves some handy binders that have complete info for both places. Thanks for the idea! xoxo, tanja I wanted to wait until I had a little time to sit down and savor House of Fifty before I responded, and it is truly a wonderful achievement. And combining that with the short-term pleasure/long-term benefit idea should make it a whole lot easier to prioritize my to do list. Thankfully, thinking about decorating our new house checks the short-term pleasure and long-term benefit boxes, and will let me cross a whole bunch of completers off the list. The actual move, though... whole different story. :-) xoxo, tanja Maybe it’s not rocket science, but I find this idea of repeaters and completers to be revolutionary, at least for me!
